Agave are one of my favorite desert plants to paint. The architectural shapes and the way the shadows and light play on the leaves really attracts my eye. Im particularly drawn to early morning or late afternoon when the sun casts a strong shadow mirroring its unique architecture onto the ground. The tall stem often provides a perch for birds on the lookout for any
